Aboutus
                    What is Cowboy Action Shooting?

We dress as Cowboys and Cowgirls from the 1860s to the 1920s and use
Cowboy guns of the era. Pistols are single action Colts or clones as well as
others manufactured during the same era. We use lever or slide action
rifles chambered in a pistol caliber, and double, pump or lever shotguns
manufactured 1897 and earlier.

We shoot at large steel targets at close range. Targets must be shot in a
specified order. Failure to follow the correct order results in a 10 second
penalty. Misses are a 5 second penalty. We  shoot 5 stages. Each stage
follows a western theme and may have props such as windows to shoot
through, cards to turn over or even a wood horse to shoot from.

There are categories for different styles of shooting -- age, gender and type
of guns used.  SASS* rules apply at all matches. Visit the SASS website,
www.sassnet.com, for more detailed information.

*SASS, The Single Action Shooting Society, is an international
organization to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action
Shooting.

We are part of the Easton Fish & Game Association.  Visit the Easton Fish
& Game Association website, www.eastonfga.net, for club information.
